These two houses were built in 1998. The living areas are located in the spaces at either end of the building; in the central section, the staircases of the two houses flow together in the glass hallway. The volume has been divided up in a simple way. On the side facing the street, the exterior walls have a series of narrow openings that preserve the cosy atmosphere of the living area; in the south and west, they allow a more generous view of the two gardens. During the planning phase, the architects took into account the dominant character of the small hill and orchard in the foreground of the composition. Photographer: Jean-Luc Laloux
